Operations Support Manager
Nick Kreiser graduated from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 2001 with a B.S. degree in Aviation Management and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force through the AFROTC program. After graduation, Nick attended Specialized Pilot Training in 2002, graduated at the top of his class and was selected to fly the C-17 Globemaster.
Nick flew two operational assignments at Charleston AFB, SC and Travis AFB, CA and completed three deployments as a C-17 Instructor Aircraft Commander in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He logged over 3,000 flight hours; with more than 1,000 combat hours. Following his operational assignments, he completed one staff assignment at Edwards AFB, CA conducting Operational Test and Evaluation on Mobility aircraft. In addition to being a pilot, he also served as a Test Director, Assistant Director of Operations, Flight Commander and Chief of Training. During Nick’s time in the Air Force, he received a Master’s Degree in Management, a Greenbelt in Lean/Six Sigma and a DAWIA Level 1 – Program Management rating.
After 11 years of active duty service, Nick continued to work for the Department of Defense as a civilian at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in St. Louis as an Aeronautical Intelligence Analyst. He provided key strategic analysis and produced aeronautical intelligence products in support of national security goals, concerns and strategies. He earned a rating as an FAA Aeronautical Information Specialist.
Nick has extensive experience in personnel and operations management, program management, process improvement and organizational/strategy development. With a superior ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization, Nick joined SSE in October 2014 and now serves as the Operations Support Manager.
