April 29, 2014: Through the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), which is the Navy’s source for a full range of innovative products and services that provide complete training solutions, SSE has been awarded the E-2/C-2/Landing Signal Officer (LSO) Naval Aviation Training Systems Curriculum Revision and Maintenance (R&M) Contract.
The $4 M contract will provide training support for the E-2 /C-2 Fleet Readiness Squadron Training System, the E-2 Air Combat Training System, and the LSO School. SSE will be responsible for recurring operational and maintenance support in order to maintain currency and quality of the course materials as new tactics, operational procedures, and aircraft doctrine are changed to meet new threats. The work will be performed over a period of three years at Naval Station (NS) Norfolk and Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana, VA.
This is the second Task Order awarded to SSE under the NAWCTSD indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Training Data Products Contract (TDPC), the first coming earlier this month, which was a $10.3 million contract for training support involving the Lockheed P-3 family of aircraft and the Boeing P-8 Poseidon aircraft and weapons system.
